The Gaylord Area Tourism Bureau would like to extend an invitation to the community to join
us on Monday, June 10 for the Back to the Bricks Car Show. Taking place from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Main
Street, this event is free of charge, family friendly and open to the public.
Approximately 275 cars will be on display for the show, and while space is limited strictly to promo tour
members, local car enthusiasts are welcome to park in any public areas near Main Street. “The Back to
the Bricks group has stressed that they welcome residents to bring their cars also. Due to the high
volume of vehicles already registered, we just ask that others park nearby and let the show expand over
into those areas,” Christy Walcott, Director of Marketing for the Gaylord Area Tourism Bureau,
Along with an outstanding assorting of automobiles on display, the car show will feature a fun 1950s
theme, live entertainment with Doug Thomas and the Jelly Roll Blues Band and unique Back to the Bricks
merchandise for sale.
Originating in 2005, Back to the Bricks provides a showcase for classic, custom and collector vehicles of
all kinds. This non-profit organization offers a variety of events, all of which promote a time of
adventure and camaraderie for hundreds of classic car owners. Their promo tours include excursions to
automotive facilities and museums for the participants, and mini car shows in each locale along the way.
