Summer Nights on the Patio at Hearth & Vine Café are lined up! The farmstead café, located on the Black Star Farms Suttons Bay winery estate near Suttons Bay, will be offering international weekday culinary events throughout summer and fall.
The outdoor patio, set in an idyllic farm setting, offers families a special themed dinner prepared right in front of guests. Two new nights join the popular series from last summer, providing more opportunities for family and friends to gather together around the table to share dinner and dessert. New on Monday is Family Style Pasta Night and Tuesdays, the grill is hot for a bountiful American BBQ. Wednesday evenings will again feature Chef Jack’s popular Seafood Paella, where he combines Prince Edward Island mussels, Middleneck clams, jumbo shrimp, Spanish chorizo, chicken, English peas, roasted red peppers and corn with seasoned rice in an oversized pan.
Thursday evenings’ feature will be the return of the Great Lakes Fish Boil, alternating with a new Cajun Shrimp Boil. Legend has it that Scandinavians brought the customary fish boil to the early settlements around Lake Michigan. This summer, Chef is adds the Cajun Shrimp Boil, a tradition which people from Maritime regions of Canada established in the 1700’s.
Sundays on the farm will feature a plated brunch, available from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. with a selection of locally inspired menu items such as House-Smoked Salmon Benedict, House- Made Corned Beef Hash and Brie Stuffed French Toast.
Summer Night dinners begin at 6:30 p.m., and tickets are available at blackstarfarms.com/hearthandvine/
