Wine vendors participating in the “Muskegon Summer Wine Up” festival at Muskegon’s Hackley Park on Saturday, June 8th were announced this week by representatives of Cumulus Radio – Muskegon, the organizers of the event.
The wineries were chosen based on quality, affordability and diversity, according to Rich Berry, Director of Sales for Cumulus Radio – Muskegon.
“I think everyone will be impressed by the variety of these wineries that will be participating in ‘The Muskegon Summer Wine Up on June 8th,” explained Berry. “This really is an impressive list and all of these wineries really wanted to come. They understood our vision and want us to be successful.”

Alliance Beverage Distributing Company is the distributor of wines produced by these companies. Participating wineries will bring a variety of wines for sampling. In addition to a variety of wine vendors from Michigan, the United States and all over the world, patrons will also be treated to wine seminars, a Mystery Wine Contest, and more.
“Our goal is to have a premiere wine festival to celebrate the unofficial start of summer,” Berry said. We also believe that we can grow the ‘Muskegon Summer Wine Up’ into a premiere event in Michigan in future years.”
The “Muskegon Summer Wine Up Festival” premieres on June 8th from 2 pm – 8 pm at Hackley Park in downtown Muskegon. Attendees will have the opportunity to taste over 100 wines. Samples will be 1.5 ounces. Admission is $15.00 and includes a stemless souvenir wine glass and four wine sample tickets.
