The weather is warming up, the snow is melting, and spring is officially here! That means there is plenty going on across Northern Michigan. Courtney Sheffer from the West Michigan Tourist Association has a few suggestions in this week’s What’s Happening in Northern Michigan.
Escape to Crystal Mountain in Thompsonville for your spring break with special packages and activities going on now through April 6 for the whole family. Daily fun includes scavenger hunts, fat tire biking and campfires, plus special activities each day. Enjoy an intimate three-course dining experience at The Inn at Black Star Farms with its weekend dinners. The culinary team has created a special menu to accompany their wines and help you warm up on a wintry day. Dinners run Fridays and Saturdays through April, and include a glass of house wine. Their current menu includes rabbit sausage, lamb, and walleye. The setting will be casual, but the experience will be sensational!
The annual Titanic Dinner at Stafford’s Perry Hotel in Petoskey is coming up on April 13. Original newspapers and artifacts will be on display, as well as table settings representing the first, second and third class. The menu for the evening includes everything from hors d’oeuvres to black forest cheesecake. Reservations are required, and this event typically sells out, so you’ll want to reserve your space soon.
