Kick Off Spring at Virtue Cider in April

Spring is officially here, according to the calendar at least, and Virtue Cider is getting ready for warmer weather by jump-starting our weekend activities.

Frozé Returns: On Saturday, April 6 our frozé machine comes out of winter hibernation to welcome the spring! Join us from noon to 7pm as we will in warmer weather with frozés, served all day, of course.

It’s Our Anniversary: Join us in the Tap Room all day on Saturday, April 13 to help us celebrate 7 years of Virtue Cider! We’ll have birthday cake, frozé, and other surprises from 4-7pm!

Easter Weekend: We are open regular hours Easter weekend, and we are celebrating all things bunny with a Lapinette weekend on April 20: Grimes our farm rabbit will emerge from hibernation, we’ll have an educational rabbit show featuring different breeds presented by an expert, a pop-up s’mores station by our friends at XO Marshmallow, and lots of Lapinette to go around! The party will be from noon to 4pm. We will be open all day, however, until 7pm.

Cider and Cheese Pairing Class: We are bringing back our monthly Cider and Cheese Pairing Classes as well. On Thursday, April 25 we are hosting a curated cider and cheese pairing class led by one of our cider experts in our Tap Room. Each course includes a 3 oz. sample of cider paired with local and regional cheese or charcuterie.

Arbor Day: To wrap up the month, we honor the trees. In observation of Arbor Day, we are once again hosting simultaneous horticultural celebrations across the Great Lakes region! Find us in Fennville, Chicago, and new this year — Detroit! At our farm on April 27, we will host a tree sale, a plant workshop, and a book signing by Abra Berens, chef at Granor Farm in Three Oaks, Mich., who just published her cookbook, Ruffage: A Practical Guide to Eating Vegetables.

Our hours through April 30 are: Wednesday to Sunday, noon to 7pm. Monday and Tuesday are Bottle Shop sales only (Tap Room is closed), 10am to 6pm. Our summer hours begin May 1: Monday to Wednesday, 11am to 7pm. Thursday to Sunday, 11am to 8pm.

We are also switching up our production tours for the season: Starting May 1 our production tours will be offered Saturdays and Sundays on the hour from noon to 6pm. You can book your tour at:

About Virtue Cider: Virtue Cider in Fennville, Michigan, makes craft cider using traditional techniques: making cider on a farm utilizing Michigan apples and aging the cider in barrels. Their ciders range from dry to sweet and show the complexity and nuance of the region’s apples.
