November Event Round-up at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa

The leaves may be falling—and we’ve seen some snow falling too!—but things are heating up this November at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa. From Traverse City Beer Week events to a Thanksgiving celebration, here’s what’s going on this month at the Resort.

Traverse City Beer Week Events

One race, three breweries, five kilometers, and thirteen beers—start the week on the right foot on Saturday, November 10, with The Great Beerd Run! The 5th annual Great Beerd Run celebrates all things beer and beard with a 5K fun run, tastings from Short’s, Right Brain, and Beards Brewery, as well as an after-party featuring live music from the Broom Closet Boys.

The next morning—Sunday, November 11—make all your beer dreams come brew with the Craft Beer Brunch at Aerie Restaurant. We’re celebrating Traverse City Beer week by infusing our classic Sunday brunch with dishes that are bubbling over with local beers and flavors. With beermosas, beer bread, and beer cheese and bacon soup, your taste buds will be in hop heaven!

Week of Giving at Spa Grand Traverse

In October, Spa Grand Traverse hosted a “Think Pink Week,” donating nearly $1,200 to Young Survival Coalition, an organization dedicated to young women who are diagnosed with breast cancer. This month, from November 18 to 24, Spa Grand Traverse will donate $5 from every treatment valued at $110 and above to the Cherryland Humane Society for the spa’s annual Week of Giving.

Cherryland Humane Society’s mission is to provide a safe harbor for animals while working to find them responsible, loving, and permanent homes. Over 400 cats and dogs have found new homes so far this year. Cherryland Humane Society is a no-kill nonprofit animal shelter and is entirely dependent on donations and grant funding to fulfill its mission. To make a reservation during the Week of Giving event, call Spa Grand Traverse at 231-534-6750.

Thanksgiving Weekend at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa

Thanksgiving is the perfect time to gather with family and friends, but sometimes spending three hours on the turkey and hosting 15 people can be overwhelming. Don’t worry—Aerie Restaurant & Lounge has you covered. From 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., enjoy turkey, pumpkin pie, and all the best Thanksgiving fixings. Get all the details, including the full menu, here.

For families visiting over Thanksgiving weekend, there will be plenty of fun for the kiddos on Friday and Saturday. The Resort’s beloved giant gingerbread house will be up and running, and Christmas trees and festive lights will be aglow. In fact, Santa will be making his very first stop in the Grand Lobby at 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 24! Get the scoop on all the family-friendly activities throughout the weekend

Black Friday and Small Business Saturday in the Gallery of Shops

Stop by the Resort’s Gallery of Shops on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday! From cold-weather gear at Adventure North to designer styles at Ashleigh’s to sweet treats at Dylan’s Candy Bar, you can check everything off your gift list.

November 23–24, all shoppers will receive 15% off their total purchase. Two stores—Natural Life and Mudpie—will be offering a free gift with purchase (while supplies last), and specials are available at the Bear Logo shop and Tumbleweeds toy store. After visiting the Gallery of Shops, be sure to visit the Traverse City Shop & Sip event, taking place throughout the Resort.

Last but Not Least…

Make sure you have these two November events on your radar!
