Fun Fall Activities with the West Michigan Tourist Association

Fall Fun in St. Joseph this Weekend

  • Everyone’s favorite fall activities are coming together Sept. 22 in downtown St. Joseph, Mich.
  • The weekend planned by St. Joseph Today includes a Fall Fest and new “Roots & Brews” event
  • Roots & Brews: 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, September 22
  • St. Joseph Today invites everyone 21 years and older to celebrate fall in Southwest Michigan at this new premier tasting event. This event features regional craft brews, wines, cider, local cuisine, live music and front row views of the sunset.
  • Fall Fest: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 22: The Critter Barn brings rural living to the city featuring goats, rabbits, ducks and more animals from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Lake Bluff Park.
  • Families can gather up just-harvested fruits and vegetables, locally raised meats, cider and fall decorations at the downtown Farmers Market, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., along Lake Bluff Park. Story Time on the Bluff with Forever Books will also be along the bluff along with other activities including a face painter and balloon twisters from 11a.m. to 3 p.m.

2nd Annual Donut Roll in Marshall

  • Get your bike tuned up for the 2nd annual Donut Roll slow roll cycling event! MAEDA is teaming up with Dark Horse Brewing Co. again to host this family friendly event.
  • The course will take you on a scenic route through Marshall showing you many of the historic sites available.
  • We welcome everyone to join us Saturday morning at Dark Horse Commons to enjoy freshly made donuts and coffee made lovingly by Dark Horse to get your energized for the ride.
  • Registration from 8:00am-10:00am at the Dark Horse Brewing Company, ride starts at 10:00am. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.
  • Day of: $10 includes donut and All-Day Beer Specials.
  • Proceeds go to benefit the Citizens Emergency Response Team, Marshall Area Community Services, S.A.F.E. Place Domestic Violence Shelter, and MAEDA.

Gravel Bottom Craft Brewery’s 5th Anniversary Bash!

  • Join us as Gravel Bottom Craft Brewery in Ada turns 5 years old! Saturday, September 22nd
  • It’s going to be an amazing day of special and rare beer tappings, community, food and music! Join us!
  • This event is FREE and Family Friendly.
  • It will also be the first day our 2019 Mug Clubbers get to raise their mugs with their fellow members! Mugs will be on the shelf waiting for you!

The Great Pumpkin Train

  • Coopersville & Marne RR, Saturdays & Sundays from September 29 through October 28
  • This is a Fall tradition that is not to be missed! Passengers are entertained during the journey by THE GRAND PUMPKIN, SCARECROW & LITTLE CROW!
  • A cast of wacky characters love to sing and dance for you.
  • Each paid child’s ticket includes a free, locally grown, good-sized Pumpkin that the kids can pick from our Pumpkin Patch at the end of the ride.
  • Children under 2 yrs ride free and also get a small size Pumpkin.
