Loutit District Library will be open Saturday, Sept. 1 during normal business hours, but closed Monday, Sept. 3 in observance of Labor Day. It will re-open on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 9:00 a.m.
Although the library is closed, its website, www.loutitlibrary.org, is available 24 hours a day. Patrons can check on the availability of books and other resources at any of the 80 libraries in the Lakeland Library Cooperative online. They can renew materials, place holds and review the status of their library accounts.
In addition, the website provides online databases, a calendar of upcoming library events and links to other resources to help patrons find the information they need.
The library also offers a free Internet service that allows Loutit District Library patrons to download eAudio Books and eBooks. Using this free online service library users can download more than 1,200 eAudio Books and eBooks from their personal portable devices and home computers 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Sunday hours will resume on Sept. 9. The library’s winter hours will be in effect until Memorial Day 2019.
The library’s winter hours are:
- Monday – Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Sunday, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Loutit District Library is located at 407 Columbus Avenue in Grand Haven, Michigan. The LDL serves 35,540 residents of the City of Grand Haven, the City of Ferrysburg, Grand Haven Charter Township, Robinson Township and that part of Port Sheldon Township in the Grand Haven Area Public School District. LDL offers a collection of over 145,581 items and provides educational, informative, cultural, and recreational programs for all ages. LDL is a member of the Lakeland Library Cooperative.
