What’s Happening in Northern Michigan: Charlevoix Art Show, Cadillac Festival of the Arts, Sail & Beer Tasting

Arts, crafts, beer and beautiful open waters.

What more could you want?

Courtney Sheffer with the West Michigan Tourist Association joins us with a look at some of the unique and exciting events happening this month.

Charlevoix will host plenty of art this weekend, with its 50th Annual Art & Craft Show.

The art show will take place in East Park, with something for everyone.

It offers a mix of fine arts and hobby crafts from more than 160 artists and craftsmen.

Acrylic and oil paintings, hand blown glass beadwork, pottery, and clothing are just a few of the things you will find.

Charlevoix’s Art & Craft Show offers a unique shopping opportunity in a one of a kind community.

Coming up on July 20 and 21, head to Cadillac for their 50th Annual Cadillac Festival of the Arts.

This is held in City Park, adjacent to beautiful Lake Cadillac.

The festival includes more than 100 artists, live music, local food booths, and art for kids.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary, join in the pre-festival festivities on Thursday evening, while artists are setting up their booths.

Join Inland Seas and special guest Short’s Brewing Company on Friday, July 20 for a beer education and tasting sail.

While under sail in Suttons Bay, Short’s Brewing Company will be aboard, providing a unique look at brewing in Northern Michigan.

This two-hour sail will provide beautiful views of the bay from the deck of the Schooner Inland Seas, a beer education, and tastings for all passengers ages 21 and up.
