Building a successful team doesn’t just happen – it’s a lot like planting a garden. You have to select the most viable seeds (or employees), plant them in the right location (or role), and you have to nurture them in an environment that’s optimal for their growth. Chocolates by Grimaldi has introduced a new Team Building Event to help businesses and organizations do just that.
Designed to identify individual strengths and weakness and see who works well together, team members are challenged to rally together and come up with and create a chocolate-themed design.
“We provide them with a unique theme that is designed to push them beyond their limits,” said Molli Laham, Co-Owner and Operator of Chocolates by Grimaldi in Grand Haven. “This not only exercises their creativity but also their flexibility because they have to come up with a design that’s in line with our theme and agree upon it as a team.”
While their creations are setting, team members collaborate to generate a pitch and designate one team member to share their final creation with the judges. Teams are scored on the correlation of their design to the overall theme, as well their presentation, the appearance of their creation, and its taste.
“Statistics show that employee collaboration improves morale, as well as worker engagement and retention levels,” said Steve Laham, Co-Owner and Operator of Chocolates by Grimaldi in Grand Haven. “It also helps improve the communication, productivity, and ultimately the bottom line.”
So it’s no wonder that over 20 different groups have already taken advantage of the class. This includes worldwide companies like Gerber-Nestle and nationwide companies like Chick-fil-A.
Chocolates by Grimaldi shuts down their production and provides team members with access to their kitchen and all of the CHOCOLATE and necessary supplies and ingredients to design their own unique chocolate creation for $75 per person.
