St. Patrick’s Day Events around West Michigan

Rockin’ Road to Dublin

  • The Mendel Center at Lake Michigan College in Benton Harbor is taking the celebration of St. Patrick’s Day to a new level when it welcomes Rockin’ Road to Dublin to the main stage on Saturday, March 17th at 8pm.
  • Before this new generation rock and dance concert hits the stage, the Shamrocked Irish Feast Pre-Show Party will feature a spread of everyone’s favorite Irish foods beginning at 6:30pm.
  • Rockin’ Road to Dublin is the new sizzling sensation that fuses the intensity of a live rock concert experience with the energy and artistry of Irish dance. This stylish, can’t-miss spectacle is co-created by Irish dance World Champion Scott Doherty and Celtic rocker Chris Smith.

St. Patrick’s Day in Muskegon

  • Visit the Muskegon area for some fan-favorite annual events. Wake up bright and early for the 4th Annual Shamrock Shuffle 5K on Saturday, March 17th. Get festive and wear green, a kilt, or dress up like a leprechaun for a chance to win prizes!
  • The race is followed by the Annual Muskegon St. Patrick’s Day Parade at 11am, beginning at 4th Street and Clay Avenue and marching east along Clay to Jefferson Street. Families, organizations, fraternal groups, businesses, marching bands, churches, and schools are invited to join in the fun and march in this exciting event!
  • While the Michigan Irish Music Festival in Muskegon may not be held until September, their annual St. Patrick’s Party & Fundraiser will be held on March 16th and 17th. There will be live music, featuring headliners Jimmy Keane and Dennis Cahill. Keane is an all-Ireland star on the piano accordion and Cahill is considered one of the finest guitarists in traditional Irish music. There will also be performances by Brother Crowe and The Ardan Academy of Irish Dance. Tickets are available for either or both nights of this festive fundraiser.

Warm Up the Irish Way

  • Visit the Downtown Market in Grand Rapids for their adults-only (21+) Warm Up the Irish Way event.
  • Begin the night by dipping pretzels into your homemade beer cheese, while you make classic brown butter soda rolls and Irish sausage.
  • Then, experience a traditional Irish colcannon, a delicious medley of softened cabbage, leeks, and potatoes.
  • Finally, warm up with homemade Irish coffee or Guinness!

St. Patrick’s Day Holland

  • Holland’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be on Saturday, March 17th at noon, beginning at the Civic Center and heading downtown. The parade will feature Irish Dancers, bagpipers, and more. Wear green to show your St. Patrick’s spirit!
  • Great Legs Winery, Brewery & Distillery in Holland is hosting live music for St. Patrick’s Day. On Saturday, March 17th, the air fills with live Irish music from Daniel Holland and DJ Danny Fresh. Come back on Saturday, March 24th for Great Legs’ anniversary party! Whether you’re looking for delicious wine, beer, or spirits, Great Legs is the place to be!
  • Boatwerks in Holland will be serving Green Beer alongside Corned Beef and Cabbage on St. Patrick’s Day. Come celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with an Irish-inspired meal.
