New Year’s in West Michigan

New Year’s Celebrations in Southern West Michigan

Bell’s Eccentric Cafe in downtown Kalamazoo is hosting Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers to help them ring in the New Year, with two back-to-back performances on December 30th and 31st. Tickets, including 2-day passes and a VIP option, are available at the Bell’s General Store or online. Both shows are for those 21 and up with valid ID.

FireKeepers Casino in Battle Creek is celebrating eight great years with “The Gr8est Party Ever” this New Year’s Eve. New Year’s Eve is your night to let loose, so celebrate with the Greatest Party Ever in the FireKeepers Event Center. Dance the night away with New York City party band The Love Revival Orchestra, starting at 9pm. A DJ will ensure the music never stops while the party hits a fever pitch. A delicious array of appetizers will roll out at 10pm, and the always popular balloon drop will usher in the New Year.

The Boulevard Inn & Bistro in St. Joseph is offering a New Year’s Eve Package for those looking to spend some time in southwest Michigan over the holiday weekend. The package is available from December 29th to 31st, and features overnight accommodations, $50 dinner credit at the bistro with a special New Year’s dinner menu, a bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, bistro breakfast, and more. This package is the perfect way to celebrate the new year in St. Joseph.

End 2017 on a happy note with Silver Beach Carousel in St. Joseph! Ride the carousel from 11am to 3pm on New Year’s Eve, and see the 48 unique carousel figures and two chariots that adorn the ride. Pick your favorite, and ride under 1,000 twinkling lights.

New Year’s Celebrations in Central West Michigan

Welcome 2018 in JW style in Grand Rapids! Count down to the new year with a party like no other, spanning the JW Marriott, Downtown Courtyard Marriott, and Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, all connected via skywalk. The JW Marriott is at center stage, featuring Club J-Dub in the International Ballroom. Stage left, at the Amway Grand Plaza, parties include a Burlesque Club, Chic Circus, Elvis and Frank Sinatra impersonators and a traveling entertainers. Stage right, at the Downtown Courtyard by Marriott, an intimate affair will be held in The Bistro. Afterwards, retire to your luxurious room overlooking the Grand River or downtown Grand Rapids.

The Grand Rapids Griffins face off against the Milwaukee Admirals for a New Year’s Eve game at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids. This is the Griffins’ 21st annual New Year’s Eve game, presented by Farm Bureau Insurance. The event includes a post-game indoor fireworks show and open skate. Ticket prices range from $16 to $37.

The New Year’s Eve Celebration at Wheelhouse in Grand Rapids features an extensive, locally-sourced menu paired with artisanal cocktails. Funkle Jesse will provide live entertainment throughout the evening, which concludes with a champagne toast at midnight.

Dance and play your way into the New Year at the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum’s annual New Year’s Early Eve Party. Kids will love all the fun to be had, and parents will appreciate the countdown and ball drop at 7:30pm! Tickets are $12 per person or $10 for museum members.

Seven Steps Up in Spring Lake is hosting Seth Glier for two nights of fun, including a New Year’s Eve concert. Seth will be performing as a trio with Joe Nerney and Rachel Coates. This very special evening includes appetizers during the cocktail hour, salad, choice of dinner, dessert, unlimited non-alcoholic beverages, and a bottle of champagne per table of four at midnight.

Double JJ Resort in Rothbury is a must-do if you’re in need of an absolutely packed New Year’s Eve party that offers a lot for the kids. The indoor waterpark is open from 6pm to 12:30am, so that you can spend time in the park well into the night. A DJ will be performing to fill the area with fun tunes. At midnight, they’ll have a beach ball drop to celebrate the new year.

Ludington offers West Michigan’s largest New Year’s Eve ball drop with a high-energy celebration, complete with outdoor beer garden and music, ball drop with 6,000 LED lights, and fireworks. Enjoy live music and an entertainment tent/beer garden with commemorative glasses starting at 9pm at James Street Plaza. The lit ball will be dropped at the stroke of midnight above the intersection of James Street and Ludington Avenue, followed by a dazzling fireworks display over downtown.
