ALL STRUNG UP at Seven Steps Up

Daniel Champagne returns with three other young guitar virtuosos, singers, songwriters and performers. They have teamed up to tour the USA this fall! The show, featuring Christie Lenée (USA), Daniel Champagne (Australia) and Hussy Hicks – featuring Julz Parker and Leeza Gentz (Australia), is bound to turn heads across the nation as it combines the talents of these incredible artists. With each act bringing something unique to the show, audiences are sure to be left speechless and wanting more with each act doing a set themselves and then a big finale together.

Christie Lenée’s unique guitar work is often compared to visionaries like Michael Hedges, Joni Mitchell and Dave Matthews, delivering profound instrumental compositions with heartfelt, consciously uplifting songs. Christie’s pieces have been showcased at the NAMM Show in Anaheim and Nashville, live on National Television and Radio, on stage with artists such as Tim Reynolds (guitarist for Dave Matthews Band), Andy McKee, Tommy Emmanuel, Amy Ray from the Indigo Girls and Stanley Jordan to name a few.

Daniel Champagne has appeared at Music Festivals around the world including the Byron Bay Bluesfest, California WorldFest and the Winnipeg Folk Fest, and has appeared with John Bulter, Ani DiFranco, Jesse Cook, Jake Shimabukuro, and Roderigo Y Gabriela. Challenging the title for the hardest working man in show business, 2017 has seen Daniel tour almost evey night of the year across Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA. His new album Faultlines is bound to turn heads as it exhilarates from track to track.

Australian Gold Coast Artist of the Year Winners Hussy Hicks have a unique musical approach that spans many genres – from boisterous blues and roots, to contemporary folk fortified with delicious vocal harmonies; alt country inspired tales from the road to 80’s style power ballads. The girls, Julz Parker and Leesa Gentz are highly regarded for their musicality by their fellow musicians and punters alike, you can expect lots of interactive jamming, killer guitar licks and soaring vocals, an approach that has seen them on stage in Jams with everyone from Michael Franti and Edward Sharp (Alex Ebert) to John Butler and the Indigo Girls.

“We’re very excited for this special tour with these artists. We’ve had Daniel Champagne here a number of times and he’s always a favorite.” says venue co-owner, Gary Hanks.
