The third annual Trek the Mighty Mac will take place on Friday, September 29th and Saturday, September 30th. Pack the family and the 4-wheelers and take a once in a lifetime trip across the Mackinac Bridge on your ATV, ORV, or SXS. Registration is $35 per driver and $25 per passenger and includes bridge fare, shuttle service, lunch, and entry into our Meet ‘N’ Greet Friday evening with free appetizers and door prizes along with live music from the band Aisle 8, a local favorite, from 6 to 10 PM. At the Meet ‘N’ Greet, enjoy a silent auction featuring a photo that will be taken from the bridge tower of the Saturdaycrossing, Rugged Radios, and featured Trek the Mighty Mac clothing. Coffee and donuts will be available for purchase from the Mackinaw City Boy Scout troop Saturday morning before the ride. Following lunch there will be fun runs throughout the U.P. with hotdogs and a bonfire in Trout Lake. Find more information and register at www.stignace.com. Don’t forget that late September and early October are prime weeks for fall color in the U.P. Plan your own day trips to Tahquamenon Falls, Pictured Rocks, or just a day hike along the North Country Trail. Then stop at the St. Ignace Farmer’s Market on Thursdays from 4 to 7 PM at the St. Ignace Marina to stock up on your last dose of fresh summer produce before winter hits.
