Carbon Leaf at Seven Steps Up on September 20th

WHERE: Seven Steps Up Live Music & Event Venue, 116 S. Jackson, Spring Lake, Mi.
WHEN: Wednesday, September 20, 8:00pm
COST: $30 with a $2 service fee.

With 16 albums and over 2,300 live shows spanning a 24-year career, Carbon Leaf’s independent music and spirit continue to resonate with its fans into 2017.

Blended folk, Celtic, bluegrass, Americana and rock traditions into what the group calls Ether-Electrified Porch Music, the Virginia quintet’s songs of love, life, heartbreak and landscape are independently written, recorded and produced from their home studio in Richmond.

The band’s music incorporates acoustic & electric guitars, mandolin, fiddle, bass, drums, cello, banjo, penny whistle, pedal steel, accordion and vocal harmony.

They’ve spent the early half of 2017 writing and recording. Now, Carbon Leaf will be on tour in support of their newest recording, Nothing Rhymes with Woman.

Carbon Leaf will be performing as part of the venue’s SRO (Standing Room Only) concert series. The SRO series has no reserved and very limited seating. Fans are encouraged to dance and move. The music is generally louder than the reserved seating Pin Drop Concert series as this series showcases full bands in a “rock club” style setting.

“Carbon Leaf! We’re in for a real treat. We’re so glad to have these guys back! Their first concert here was a bit more acoustic, and this concert will definitely be a bit more a-rockin!” says venue co-owner, Michelle Hanks.
