A variety of entertainment for all ages and tastes will be featured in the Entertainment Series at the historic Tibbits Opera House. Tibbits Entertainment Series will include the touching play Love, Loss, & What I Wore; Jeff Daniels in concert with the Ben Daniels Band; an exciting Eagles tribute band with Best of the Eagles; and hilarious stand-up comedy at the Coldwater Comedy Fest.
First to take the stage is Love, Loss, & What I Wore, a play written by Nora Ephron, best known for her screenplays Sleepless in Seattle, You’ve Got Mail, When Harry Met Sally, Juliet & Julia, and Heartburn. Based on the 1995 book of the same name by Ilene Beckerman, Ephron and her daughter Delia Ephron capture the essence of the important subjects of life – mothers, prom dresses, mothers, buying bras, mothers, hating purses, and why we only wear black – with the collection of vignettes and monologues. Love, Loss, & What I Wore runs September 22nd & 23rd, 29th & 30th at 7pm and September 24th & 28th at 2pm.
On November 11th, Emmy-award winning actor Jeff Daniels returns to the Tibbits at 7pm with his guitar, his son Ben’s band, and a repertoire that pulls from his more than 400 songs, a collection of funny, pointed, and poignant reflections. This will be Daniels’ fifth appearance at the Tibbits and will feature both new material and some of the favorites from the past.
Best of the Eagles, the Eagles Tribute Band, will take the stage January 27th during Coldwater’s Ice Festival Weekend. This salute to these classic rock and roll legends will also feature an “On your feet” section. The Best of the Eagles features veteran musicians from central New Jersey and is one of the premiere tribute shows around – guaranteed to rock the audience!
The Coldwater Comedy Fest, slated for March 17th at 7pm, is an annual stand-up comedy event that has become a great escape from the winter blues. It features three comics and plenty of laughs.
