FireKeepers Casino Hotel is excited to announce a transformation coming soon for the property’s most popular restaurant, Mijem Buffet. The 300-seat buffet will be going from drab to fab with new carpet and upholstery as well as fresh paint, vibrant wall coverings and contemporary light fixtures.
Guests will be relieved to know that the makeover will not impact the restaurant’s award-winning food or guest service, with all work being done during off-hours by FireKeepers contractor of choice, Moore Trosper Construction Co. of Holt, MI. The new design was created by Mayotte Architects of Lansing, MI. Work will begin mid-July and is expected to be complete within one month.
“Guests will see, smell and feel a tremendous difference in the upgrades,” Stated FireKeepers VP of Facilities, Jack DeMik. “Mijem will soon be a destination guests can go to unwind and enjoy a filling meal after working up an appetite on the gaming floor.”
The refresh of Mijem Buffet follows recently announced dining awards in the “Best of Dining” category from Casino Player Magazine. These include, “Best Overall Dinning”, “Best Seafood”, “Best Steakhouse”, “Best Happy Hour”, and of course, “Best Buffet”. “
“Mijem is sure to live up to the awards with their new look”, stated Chef Michael McFarlen, VP of Food and Beverage for FireKeepers. “The transformation of the space will energize the culinary team and keep our guests coming back for the great food and experience they have come to expect from FireKeepers.”
Red Hot Rewards Club members will continue to enjoy the valuable discounts of $3 off lunch and $4 off dinner; as well as the $5 Senior Breakfast on Tuesdays. Mijem also hosts a seafood buffet on Friday nights and surf-and-turf all day on Sundays for $29.95.
