Inland Seas Education Association (ISEA) will be holding a Nautical Flea Market and Boat Sale on Saturday, July 15th from 9am to 1pm behind the ISEA Education Center at 100 Dame Street, Suttons Bay. All types of boats and items used in boating will be for sale.
Fred Sitkins, Executive Director of Inland Seas, commented, “We always have a great turnout for this sale. People often find items that they have been thinking about purchasing for years and at a price they simply can’t resist.” Items for sale include sail and power boats, old outboard motors, sails, line, life jackets, raingear, flippers, maps/charts, books, completed sailboat models, windsurfing gear, and much more. There are also a few non-nautical items for sale including a large stand-up fish tank, lawn mower, propane grill, snow blower, and metal desk. “This year we have a lot of wood working power and hand tools that were donated to us from an estate,” said Sitkins. All proceeds from this annual fundraiser support Inland Seas Education Association.
ISEA collects donated items throughout the year for the flea market, and sells donated boats all summer. “We are very fortunate that individuals donate boats and items to us to be used in this sale,” said Sitkins. “It’s a great way for people to support Inland Seas as they declutter or get out of boating.” If you have nautical items to donate to Inland Seas Education Association, contact the office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 231.271.3077, or stop by 100 Dame Street, Suttons Bay. Donations are tax deductible.
A second nautical flea market and boat sale will be held on Saturday, August 12th from 9 am – 1 pm at the same location.
