Lakeshore Harvest Country is gearing up for its 11th Annual Road Rally, July 22nd. Previously hosted in the fall season, this family-friendly traveling scavenger hunt departs from DeGrandchamp Farm in South Haven at 1pm.
Traveling from clue to clue, participants explore the backroads of Michigan’s “Fruit Belt” region—visiting the orchards, vineyards, farms and studios along the way. With plenty of time to visit the animals, sample wine and cider, purchase fresh produce and more, families will be delighted in the treasures found throughout the Lakeshore Harvest Country region. The rally ends at 5pm with a celebration the surprise finale location, where over 20 door prizes will be presented, along with give-aways for the kids and of course the trophy for the Rally Champion. The cost to participate is $20 per vehicle ($15 in advance).
In addition to its trail events, Lakeshore Harvest Country publishes a brochure and map which identifies its members and provides additional information about the activities found at each. The map is available at any of the member locations, as well as at the Visitor Bureau offices in Saugatuck and South Haven and Welcome Centers around the state. It can also be downloaded online at LakeshoreHarvestCountry.com.
