Feast of the Strawberry Moon

  • June 10th and 11th in Grand Haven
  • This historical re-enactment set in a natural setting on Harbor Island
  • Explores Europeans and the Native Americans in the Great Lakes Region during the pre-1800 fur trade era
  • This event bring in approximately 250 re-enactors, entertainers, demonstrators and period vendors to provide the experience of the 18th century.
  • New this year is Kid’s Day on Friday, June 9th from 10:00am – 2:00pm.
    • This is an opportunity for school-aged kids to visit the day before the event officially opens to get an inside look and a more in-depth view of the sights and sounds of life here along the banks of the Grand River from 1750 – 1800.
  • Daily Admission – $5 per person or $15 per family

12th Annual Lake Michigan Shore Wine Festival

  • June 17th at Weko Beach in Bridgman (Southwest, South of St. Joseph)
  • 1pm to 10pm
  • Event put on by the Lake Michigan Shore Wine Trail
  • All 21 wineries of the Lake Michigan Shore Wine Trail come together for the ultimate wine tasting experience in one location
  • With wine, food, live bands, and the beach, what more can you ask for?
  • Presale Tickets only. Available until June 16th, 12pm. If still available, limited tickets at door for $25 – cash only.
  • Tickets include:
    • Admission into event
    • Souvenir wine tasting glass
    • Free parking and shuttle service
    • Five live bands playing all day
  • Additional costs:
    • Classic Catering food booths onsite for purchase
    • Tasting tickets: $1-2 for a taste and $6– 10 for a glass
    • MUST have Valid I.D. ready at entry • Cash Only

    • Ages 13 to 20: $10 at the door

Lakeshore Art Festival

  • July 7th and 8th in Downtown Muskegon
  • A unique blend of arts, crafts, music, food, and fun
  • Nearly 300 fine art and specialty craft exhibitors, children’s activities, specialty food items, street performers and multiple interactive art stations this event is an artful experience for all to enjoy!
  • New this year
    • Student showcase in partnership with the Muskegon Area Intermediate School District
    • Artist Sarah Landstrom will be painting a kayak on location and it will be auctioned off with the proceeds going to local art.
    • First Friday’s will join the Lakeshore Art Festival on Friday, July 7 from 6-8pm with Chalk The Walk where we invite the entire community to “color within the lines” of nearly 300 chalk patches along Western Ave.
  • The Lakeshore Art Festival has been recognized
    • by Sunshine Artist Magazine as one of the “200 Best” in the country
    • by as “Favorite Small Town Art Fair.”  

Beaver Island Music Festival

  • July 20th to 22nd on Beaver Island
  • Beaver Island Boat Company will help you get there. They’ll take you out of Charlevoix and get you on the island
  • Located off the grid in the middle of Lake Michigan’s largest island, it’s easily known as one of the most unique music festivals in northern Michigan
  • Load up your camping gear, ride the boat over during the festival week and listen to musicians fill the air with their laid-back tunes on your way to rock out in the woods with a great group of friends
