What’s Happening in Northern Michigan: Mother’s Day Tea Party, Comparative Wine Dinner, Scavenger Hunt

The Applesauce Inn B&B in Bellaire is hosting their first ever Mother’s Day tea party on Sunday, May 14th from 1:30-3:00pm. Tickets are $25 per person and include tea & coffee, Bee Well cider mimosas, light refreshments and tasty desserts. The Applesauce Inn is located in a vintage farmhouse, and you’ll want to call the B&B for reservations by this Friday to reserve your space.

Join Black Star Farms’ Winemaker on May 18th for what is sure to be an enlightening evening of Italian and Sicilian cuisine paired with both Michigan and Italian wines at their Comparative Wine Dinner. This is your chance to experience how Michigan’s local wines can shine on a global scale. A special six course menu will be created to highlight the special qualities of both Black Star Farms’ classic cool climate varietals, and the warmer climate varietals found in southern Italy and Sicily.
