Indiana Michigan Power will present The Inn at Harbor Shores with a rebate check worth nearly $7,000. The hotel is receiving the check for their energy efficient lighting upgrades throughout the property.
Jason Whitman, Energy Efficiency and Consumer Programs Coordinator from Indiana Michigan Power will present the check to The Inn at Harbor Shores General Manager, Brady Cohen. Cohen said, “This is just another step toward doing our part in the community while taking good care of our guests.”
By switching out incandescent fixtures to more efficient, longer-lasting LEDs, the lighting improvements throughout the property have created a brighter, more modern look that also helps the hotel save energy. The lighting upgrades have saved more than 119,000 kWh, which is equivalent to powering 13 homes per year.
