Loutit District Library (LDL) ushers in the St. Patrick’s Day season with the Grand Haven Area High School fiddle group GOTAK in concert on Sunday, March 12.
GOTAK is an after-school alternative string ensemble founded in 2005 by current director and Grand Haven High School Orchestras, Melissa Meyers. GOTAK has grown to over 20 members and have had the privilege of working with alternative string directors such as Bob Phillips and Tim Staudacher. The group has also performed with traditional Celtic bands Kennedy’s Kitchen, Uneven Ground, and most recently Switchback.
The concert is free the public and begins at 2:00 p.m. on the library’s upper level lobby. Library officials urged the public to come early due to limited seating. LDL opens at 1:00 p.m. on Sundays.
Funding for LDL’s 2016-17 Sunday Concert Series is generously provided by the Matilda and Harold Crane Donor Advised Fund of the Grand Haven Area Community Foundation.
