Pot of Gold GPS & Compass Scavenger Hunt

Spring Day Camp
Tuesday March 28 – Thursday March 309:00am to 3:00pm
Ages 7 to 11, $100 per camper – limited space, must pre-register!
Grass River Natural Area will be hosting a 2017 spring day camp for children 7 to 11 years old. Volunteer Chainsaw Safety Training
Monday, April 3rd at the GRNA Center
Time: 9 am

This training follows the techniques of Soren Erickson and includes not only tool usage but mental preparedness and awareness when working with multiple people and saws.  This is a full day training consisting of 4-5 hours of lecture and 2-3 hours of field work. Earth Day Amphibian Walk

Celebrate Earth Day and the coming of spring by taking a walk to woodland vernal pools to look for salamanders and listen for frog activity. All-Volunteer Enrichment and Training
Saturday, April 29th at the GRNA Center
9 am to 12:30 pm

This is an open training workshop for all GRNA volunteers or anyone interested in volunteering at GRNA.  In addition to offering various breakout sessions focusing on different aspects of volunteerism at GRNA, there will also be a guest speaker from MNFI to discuss the history of natural features of GRNA.  Light refreshments will be provided.  Contact Kendra for questions at volunteer@grassriver.org
