Rockford Brewing Company Opens Full Service Kitchen At Pub Location

Rockford Brewing Company (RBC) is excited to announce the completion of an in-house, full service kitchen at their pub as part of their efforts to continuously provide quality crafted, locally sourced products to West Michigan. The public grand opening of the kitchen is scheduled for Friday, November 11th, 2016, starting at 4pm.

The Rockford Brewing Company kitchen will create food that complements their hand crafted, award winning, freshly brewed beers. Sourcing locally and using in season ingredients as often as possible, RBC creates innovative dishes that celebrate the global diversity of food with a Michigan-centric feel.

Chef Ryan Bolhuis, an alumnus of the French Culinary Institute in Manhattan, NY, has accepted the position of Executive Chef. Working in some of the most distinguished restaurants in America such as Nobu 57, The Modern NYC and BLT Fish, Chef Ryan has developed his own creative and internationally influenced style. A Hudsonville native, his goal has always been to return home to West Michigan to utilize his culinary training and experience to highlight the local product Michigan offers:

“Great beer and great food, in my opinion, all stem from the same vein of thought. Respect for ingredients, respect for the growers & respect for the culture. A great drink and a great plate of food is a universal experience that can make a good day great or make a bad day better. We here at RBC want to celebrate that relationship both from our own backgrounds and from a multicultural perspective,” shared Chef Bolhuis.

Current hours for the kitchen are dinner service only —Monday thru Thursday, 4pm to 9pm; Friday and Saturday, 4pm to 10pm. The kitchen is currently closed on Sunday. RBC eventually plans to have the kitchen open for lunch and dinner service, seven days a week.
