If you like to plan ahead, there are a couple events that can help you get organized this weekend. From holiday gifts to wedding planning, Courtney Sheffer from the West Michigan Tourist Association fills you in with What’s Happening in Northern Michigan.

You’re invited to join Castle Farms as they celebrate their 12th Annual Grand Bridal Expo on Sunday, October 30 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Workshops are offered throughout the day. The grand finale fashion show begins at 3 and showcases the latest in bridal fashions. Back this year is the Celebration Lounge, where guests may purchase beer, wine and food during the show! This annual event features displays by the finest in wedding service providers Northern Michigan has to offer. Don’t forget to register to win door prizes and the grand giveaway, to win the wedding of your dreams at Castle Farms.

Find the perfect handmade gifts for this holiday season at the 34th Annual Holiday Gift Fair at the Bellaire High School on November 5, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Featuring over 30 area artisans, with everything from jewelry and soaps, to local maple syrup and custom furniture, you are sure to find the perfect holiday gift for everyone on your list. The Holiday Gift Fair has been a highly anticipated shopping event, which kicks off the holiday shopping season, since 1982. Bellaire Chamber of Commerce will be holding raffles every half hour throughout the day with great prizes from the artists.

Celebrate the upcoming holiday season enjoying local wine and delicious fare along the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail. Enjoy tasting and touring during one of two consecutive weekends November 5-6 or November 12-13. Tickets are $75 for couples or $50 for singles, and include a featured wine and food pairing at 25 wineries, a souvenir wine glass and their always popular holiday gift. Take a self-guided tour through the tasting rooms between the hours of 11-5 on Saturday and 12-5 on Sunday.
