Spooky Science Saturday at Leila Arboretum

  • Leila Arboretum, Battle Creek
  • October 22nd, 11am-3pm
  • Join us in the Children’s Garden and at Kingman Museum for a day filled with science experiments, free things to take home, and fun for the whole family.
  • Have an excellent Children’s Garden: It encourages kids to use all of their senses to investigate plants, vegetables, flowers, and more.

Oktoberfest Celebration at St Ambrose Cellars

  • St Ambrose Cellars, Beulah
  • Saturday, October 8th, 4pm-9pm
  • Celebrate Oktoberfest at St. Ambrose Cellars!
  • Known for their mead: alcoholic beverage made from honey & water: they add flavors and even have some sour meads available
  • We’ll have apple cider and games for the kids, along with our mead, wine, and cider for adults.
  • Join us for fun contests, a chili cook-off (more details shortly) and a special performance from Alfredo Improvisational Quartet!

Depot to Depot Fall Color Tour

  • Travel along some of Michigan’s most beautiful scenic drives. It’s the annual Depot to Depot Muskegon County Fall Color Tour. You will have four Saturdays (October 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th) to experience the vibrant colors of the woods, dunes and water!
  • Free pumpkins to children while they last.
  • Drive your car or bike along this self-guided touring route to visit historic sites, enjoy nature and get your picture taken on spectacular Lake Michigan.
  • Those who participate in the FREE event receive discounts to area museums, fine fall refreshments, and coupons from area businesses. Stop at the designated sites during these Saturdays, get your map stamped, turn it in at either depot, and you will be eligible to win two round trip passes on the Lake Express High Speed Ferry between Muskegon and Milwaukee OR two tickets to Muskegon’s own Michigan’s Adventure Amusement and Water Park to use in the 2017 season.
  • Begin at either the Muskegon Union Depot, home of Visit Muskegon, or the Train Depot, home of the White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. Travel on some of Muskegon’s most scenic roads!

Zeeland Pumpkinfest

  • Pumpkinfest is October 7 & 8 – this weekend!
  • Celebrating community, family fun, and fall activities for over 30 years!
  • The theme for 2016 is “Pumpkinfest In Disguise!”
