The Grey Hare Inn is an elegant Tuscan/Provence style vineyard estate in the heart of Northern Michigan Wine Country. The inn is reminiscent of a European stone farmhouse covered in stucco that has been added on to over years of renovation, with stone patios and grapevine trellises. The Inn offers panoramic vineyard, orchard, and views of Grand Traverse Bay. The gourmet breakfasts are local produce oriented fusions of Northern Michigan cuisine with French and Italian themes, coordinated in presentation and taste combinations. This year there are several packages with the Manitou Tallship offering a short 2 hour sail n’ stay, or boat and breakfast with one night on the Manitou and two at the Grey Hare Inn. There is also a Stomp and Sail on August 24 and 31. This will include a combination day of Grape Harvest Stomp and a 2 hour sail with transportation between locations will occur (beverages and food included). The Grape Harvest Stomp provides a 2 hour Old World experience where the grapes are hand picked , de-stemmed and stomped by feet in a wooden vat to create juice. Participants will be able to taste the wine made from the inn’s grapes at Peninsula Cellars.
