Garland Resort

What would winter be without a horse drawn sleigh ride? It just wouldn't be right! We feature 16-person sleighs in operation every weekend during winter. One of the highlights of the season is the Zhivago Night Dinner that is the most fun, intimate, and exciting meal event held at Garland. It starts with a horse drawn sleigh ride to the Bridge Inn outlined with hundreds of tiny lights. There you will recline by the fire, awaiting your five-course wild-game dinner accompanied by exquisite wine and other beverages. This rustic log building is charming and homey, making you feel as though you have traveled back in time to a gentler, simpler era.

Ranch Rudolf
Traverse City

You're invited to spend a week, weekend or just a night at Ranch Rudolf, a 195 acre Four Season Resort which is just 12 miles southeast. of Traverse City on the Beautiful Boardman River, surrounded by the Pere Marquette State Forest.

A general store, restaurant, lounge with a fireplace and the Strawdog Room (banquet/meeting room) make up the other buildings. There are no televisions or in-room phones at the Ranch, which means you just might find yourself under a star-filled Northern sky thanking the heavens that there are places where families can still get away from it all - and come closer together.
