Chateau Grand Traverse, Traverse City

The Grand Traverse Bay and Sleeping Bear Dune areas combine to create a region known for its breathtaking views, rich culinary and wine culture, and recreational pastimes. Hilltop wineries have fostered a tradition of award-winning wines that range from crisp and refreshing whites and French-style reds to the deliciously sweet ice wines made possible by the region’s unique micro-climate. Close by, nearly 200 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline and crystal clear inland lakes and streams provide endless opportunities for enthusiastic paddlers while the sculpted slopes serve as a scenic backdrop for hiking over towering dunes and bluffs. In winter, the landscape shifts to powdery white for snowshoeing, cross country, and downhill skiing.
