Region 1
Northern West Michigan is home to large ski hills and plenty of outdoor activities for all to enjoy in every season.
When the snow is falling Boyne Highlands and Boyne Mountain are bustling with ski and snowboard enthusiats from all over. Pack up the car for the weekend and hit the slopes. Skiing not your thing? Try cross country skiing, ice skating or tubing at any of these. Each Boyne resort also has hiking and biking trails. Whther its winter or summer, the whole family can enjoy Michigan’s largest indoor water park at Boyne Mountain.

Region 2
No matter what season you are planning a vacation for, Northern Michigan has outdoor activities for all types.
Looking to ski or snowboard during the snowy Michigan winter? Check out Shanty Creek Resort in Bellaire or Crystal Mountain in Thompsonville. Is snowmobiling more your thing? Region 3
Paddlesports are the latest and greatest trend in outdoor activities.Whether you like to paddle a canoe or maybe prefer a kayak, region three is full of great opportunities for you to hit the water!
Shomler Canoes and Kayaks in Irons takes trips down the Pine River, a National Scenic River flowing through the Manistee National Forest. Whether a party of 2 or 172, they can meet your needs
Since 1969 Wisners Rents Canoes has offered canoe, kayak, raft, tube & fishing trips on the beautiful Big Muskegon River. Located just off M-37 in Newaygo, they are an easy drive from Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Holland, Lansing, Detroit & Chicago. Trip times range between 2 - 4-1/2 hours.
Pine River Paddlesport Center in Wellston has the ability to service both the Big & Little Manistee rivers allows them to appeal to a variety of experience levels.The Big Manistee River averages about 100 foot wide with fewer natural obstacles. The Little Manistee offers a greater challenge, it averages 30 foot wide with obstacles throughout to test your skills.

Region 4
Region four offers a variety of outdoor experience for just about anyone! Whether you want to take a trip down one of only four ice luges in North America, rent a jet ski and cruise on Lake Michigan, strap on some skis or a snowboard and take on some jumps, or if you are just looking for some great outdoor gear, region four has all of this to offer!
Luge
The Muskegon Sports Council is home to one of 4 luge tracks in the country. They offer recreational & instructional luging from beginner to advanced sliders. Ages 8 & up. They also offer groomed & lighted cross-country ski trails, outdoor lighted skating rink, and snowshoeing. It is a perfect spot to spend a whole day outside with the family.
Ski/Snowboard
Pando Ski Area is a great family winter sports park. The park is located 15 minutes outside of Grand Rapids, Michigan in picturesque Rockford. They cater to the beginner, as well as, the advanced skier and snowboarder with seven ski runs, six rope tows, Rail Park and half pipe. The tube hill offers exciting family fun for all ages, and the beautiful cross-country trails are groomed and tracked and in great condition.
Jet Ski Rentals
The Holland Princess offers dinner crusies, boat cruises, jet ski and waverunner rentals and pontoon boat rentals. Take a two hour dinner cruise or treat your family to a boat or watercraft rental on Holland's Lake Macatawa and Lake Michigan located near shopping, beaches, windmill island and dutch village.

Region 5
Region five has a vast array of outdoor activities for all to enjoy. With a cave, ski resorts and fantastic river to paddle, hours spent outdoors will be cherished here.
Paddling
Doe-Wah-Jack’s Canoe Rentals in Dowagiac offers two to six-hour beginner and intermediate canoe and kayak trips on Dowagiac River daily June through August. Weekends in May, September and October. Reservations are highly recommended on weekends. Located on N. M-51.
Winter Sports
Bittersweet Ski Area in Kalamazoo is the convenient, family-oriented skiing and snowboarding destination for beginner and expert alike, with the best runs and fastest lifts in Southwest Michigan. Their six lifts including the Sweet Express-- the newest, safest, most technologically advanced ski transport system in southwest Michigan-- in addition to five rope tows and a Wondercarpet to take you to 17 expertly groomed trails with 2300’ of lighted slopes. Complete alpine and snowboard rentals are available. It is located 20 minutes from Kalamazoo, US-131 to Otsego exit 49B, M-89 west.
Timber Ridge Ski Area located in Gobles is a great place to learn how to ski and snowboard. With 15 ski runs, a quad chairlift, a triple & 2 double chairlifts, pomalift & 5 rope tows, all types of skiiers can enjoy Timer Ridge. Snow tubing is also available.
Parks
Kalamazoo County Parks are open 7 am to sunset. All parks have picnic shelters, hiking and playgrounds. Cold Brook - camping, disc golf, fishing. Markin Glen - camping, swimming, tennis. Prairie View - swimming, sledding. River Oaks - 20 soccer fields, x-country skiing. Scotts Mill - historic mill, fishing.
