Travel the scenic Blue Star Highway and back roads between South Haven and Saugatuck to discover a distinctive and diverse community. The Blue Coast Artists cultural heritage tour is a treasure trove offering a behind-the-scenes look into the studios of talented working artisans, agri-tourism farms, wineries and sites within quintessential towns. For nineteen years the Blue Coast Artists have been delighting and educating the public with their annual Fall Tour of Studios. Viewers are invited to experience the creative process in action once again on Oct. 4th & 5th, 2008 from 10AM-6PM both days and is free of charge. See a piece of pottery form, watch a Raku firing, experience glass beads take shape in the torch, visualize a tree come alive through brushstrokes or a bird emerge from a piece of wood. These are just a few of the demonstrations that art lovers of all ages are sure to enjoy during this annual West Michigan autumn event. This creative experience is fun for the whole family.

The Blue Coast region is rich with history and offers fun, affordable and relaxing ways to enjoy a weekend. Enjoy the handmade items by the local artisans, find the locally grown including award-winning wines at the area vineyards or experience u-pick fruit or berries at the many local farms. The Artists member studios open their doors as as group for a final time this 2008 season. This special event is the Annual Holiday Open House; November 28th, 29th & 30th Thanksgiving Weekend Fri, Sat & Sun 10am-5pm.
