The Gerald R. Ford Museum brings American history to life for students of all ages. Diverse exhibits show the real stuff of history, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm about our nation's history and government. Programs, tours and historical performances add yet another dimension to the Museum's educational offerings.

In addition to the Ford exhibits, the museum exhibits a wide variety of featured exhibits."Slavery on Trail: The Long Road to Freedom," will close on April 29, 2007, and is exclusive to Grand Rapids. Slavery was developed by the Gerald R. Ford Museum and is not a traveling exhibit. American slavery is examined through the experience of Dred Scott and his family.

"The Enemy Within: Terror in America 1776 to Today," Opening May 19, through August 19, 2007. THE ENEMY WITHIN reveals dramatic episodes in American history, from 1776 to the present, when the US was attacked at home. How the country acted -- and sometimes over-reacted-- resulted in the evolution of US counterintelligence and security measures that have positioned the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Department of Homeland Security, and the vigilance of every American, to contend with the enemy within today.
