Itty Bitty Fun in the City

You don’t have to be an adult to enjoy West Michigan. The cities offer more than just shopping and nightlife; this region offers tons of great activates for all ages, especially those who are just starting to crawl, walk, or maybe in some cases run!
Boasting two children’s museums, a handful of indoor and outdoor water parks, and countless miles of sandy beaches, West Michigan is a toddlers dream playground!
Toddlers will be able to experience two vastly different Zoo atmospheres right here in West Michigan. At the Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek, kids have the opportunity to feed a giraffe in the Wild Africa exhibit. Giraffes come up to the fence, extend their long necks, and stick out their long tongues to enjoy a nice leafy piece of lettuce right from a child’s hand. Children will also enjoy the petting zoo, sting rays, and monkeys at the John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids.
Depending on the season, toddlers can be entertained on a themed train by the Coopersville and Marne Railway. Whether it is the Pumpkin Train, the Great Train Robbery, the Bunny Train, or the Santa train, toddlers will enjoy all of the characters on the train and the thrill of the ride itself.
After they have played all day in the sand on the beach in St. Joseph, take them right up the road for a spin on the Silver Beach Carousel. The little ones can be entertained for hours as they spin round and round, and you can sit back, relax, and enjoy their bliss.
