Directions:The Charlevoix Lighthouse is located on the South Pier of the Pine River Channel, and is easily accessible from downtown Charlevoix. There is a paved, level walkway from Round Lake to the lighthouse on the pier. This walkway begins at Round Lake, continues under the bridge on US 31 (Bridge Street), along the Pine River Channel to the pier and the lighthouse.

Places to access the walkway are:

  • The city boat docks, and the Coast Guard dock on Round Lake
  • Stairs from the bridge across the Pine River Channel that descend to the walkway
  • Lake Michigan Beach, on the shore of Lake Michigan by the south pier. Lake Michigan Beach can be reached by automobile and is located at the intersection of Park and Clinton Streets.
