Autumn Color Tours
Just how many ways are there to view this splendor of autumn’s pallet? West Michigan travelers have an abundance of ways to enjoy the show, either by car, RV, boat, bicycle, on horseback, at festivals, hiking, on golf courses and luxury resorts, or historic highways. Many of these “old roads” cut through great forests of hardwoods and pines and make perfect color tours, and some are state-designated scenic routes. From 40 miles to 140 miles, there’s a day trip perfect for everyone. View a listing of 26 scenic driving routes and print detailed directions for each.

West Michigan Fall Color Weekly Update A great fall color tour adventure depends on great fall color! Make sure you know when the colors will be peaking by checking out the most current fall color conditions. Updates provided by the Michigan Audubon Society are posted weekly through September and October and also available by calling the West Michigan Tourist Association’s conditions hotline at 800-442-2084 ext. 304.
